Yes. This is an Singapore-based competition, and is open exclusively to Singapore-based designers and firms.
Yes. The LBDA is about honouring the best projects and talent in Singapore. There is one exception to the rule: those nominated by the judges for the Interior Design Firm of the Year category can choose to present one or more overseas projects during the live presentation and judging session as an example, to show the scope of work that they do.
No. All projects must be 100% finished works at the time of entry submission.
Yes. Your project must have been completed between 1 January 2018 and 15 May 2019. The exception: Additional projects being presented during the Interior Design Firm of the Year live judging session can be from earlier years.
Speculative or unfinished projects, client pitches and/or mock-ups will not be considered valid. Projects that were already submitted for Lookbox Design Awards 2018 will also not be considered valid.
You can submit a maximum of 10 images per entry. Please also include before and after floor plans for judges to fully understand the project (they are considered part of the image count).
Please ensure your images are of good quality. We suggest 1800 x 1200 pixels in landscape orientation, and file size no larger than 10mb per image. We will NOT accept pixellated images. Images should ideally not have watermarks or text on them.
No, we also accept portrait format, but if you have some landscape-format shots available, please include them.
Please submit your images in jpg or png format.
The requested text descriptions vary slightly across the categories. The entry form asks for basic details (such as interior design firm’s name, project title, and project location – up to 250 characters each), as well as more descriptive paragraphs (up to 10,000 characters each). To view the entry form for each category, you can register to enter at lbda.awardstack.com and view the online entry form for each category with no commitment to lodge an entry.
Yes. You can save a draft and return to and edit your entry at any point up to the entry deadline of 11:59pm on Wednesday 17 July 2018 (SGT). Your entry will not be complete until final payment has been made and your entry submitted. Once payment has been made, no further changes can be made to your entry.
Yes. By entering the LBDA, you concede that you have permission from all involved parties pertaining to your project/s – including clients, copyright holders and collaborators – to allow Indesign Media Asia Pacific and its partners to publish your work across any of its print and digital platforms/brands, as well as any associated promotional materials, without limitation for awards purposes only.
Entry to the LBDA is S$220 (including GST) for one submission, and S$160 (including GST) per submission, for the second and all subsequent entries. All Shortlist entrants will also receive 2 complimentary tickets to the Gala Night.

Yes, if it’s relevant to more than one category. Each entry will attract a submission fee.

The Shortlist will be announced in September 2018, and the winners will be inveiled at the LBDA Gala Night in November 2018 (exact date to be announced later).
